School and Work Update

Hey everyone! School and work are going great! I have met a lot of very nice people! My classes are challenging, but I am making very good grades. I can't wait to finish, though, and be surrounded by nothing, but music. If you didn't know, I am going to attempt to major in violin performance. I absolutely love the violin! My current private instructor is very encouraging and helpful. Because of all of the moving in the past, I have been unable to really progress the way I wanted. However, I have made great strides, or so my professor says... I feel like I am going snail speed right now.... Work is going good as well. The people I work with are very kind and sincere. When I walk in the door for my shift, I am greeted with kind, smiling faces. What a wonderful place to work! Oh and before I forget! I have been looking for some things for my music study. Just a few things... Okay!... a lot of stuff.... But that's why I have you guys! :) I would love any advice! I need help with:


1. To find a great music theory book
2. To find a great music school for violin performance major
3. To find a great violin (the reason for this being, that my old violin is not the best and is really worn out...)
4. To find a great violin bow (same reason as the violin, but also that it is a carbon fiber bow, and I have been informed by my professor that I need to get a new bow that is specifically made of wood.)
5. To find cool, classical pieces to play ;)


Thanks so much for all of your help! Also, I would appreciate any advice on violin practicing, such as, how to have a regular practice schedule when you have so much school work and work to do. Oh! And advice on auditioning for the violin at a university and what to expect! Thanks again! :D Hope to hear from you guys soon! :D

Long Time, No See...

Okay. I admit it. I have not written a post for sometime now... But now I am :D I have been super busy with school, work, and all of the above. I am now attending community college and I am having a blast! The people I have met so far, are so amazing and open. Thankfully, there is no peer pressure in college, so I have one less thing to stress about. Class are challenging, always keeping me on my feet, but they are also a lot of fun. I enjoy learning new things, so this is certainly the place to be. Work is also fun. The people that I work with are very encouraging and kind. I have also met new people at the church here. Everyone is so open and kind, I feel like I am apart of one big happy family! :D The weather here is beginning to change as well. Autumn is on it's way....

High School Mission: Complete!

Hey Everyone!!!! I just completed high school!!! I can not believe it!!! Of course, I still feel as if I am supposed to be doing school. It's really strange, this feeling... I woke up this morning thinking Oh great here we go again, then I remembered that I had finished!! Party time, Oh yeah!!! Also, I just wanted to thank everyone out there that has supported me over the years and given me the motivation I needed to finish school! I can't thank you enough! Also, thanks for all the prayers! SPRING!!!!

Hey everyone! I can not believe it!!! I can see grass!! I had forgotten what grass looked like.... hee hee :D! Just kidding :D! It is actually supposed to be above freezing today! Can you believe it? Our puppy, Bella, is not going to know what to do without the snow! She loves to jump in it and dive face first in the snow. Kind of like a black submarine! :D But the snow will probably be gone by this time next week! I can't wait to see what she does without the snow! I will definitely do a video of that!! Wow.... I seem to be very excited, almost too excited, that the snow is almost gone... OF COURSE I AM!!!! I AM TIRED OF THIS WINTER!!!! I heard that there is only two seasons here in Canada, or Quebec anyway: Winter and July. Hilarious....

Migration to the South

Hey Everyone! I have been visiting NC for about eleven days, and just when I thought that I had gotten away from the snow in Canada, I found myself waking up yesterday to a yard completely covered in snow! But the sun is shining and the grass is peeking through the melting snow, so all is well! For the past ten days I have been shopping, visiting, going to Mass, and relaxing. Oh yeah, and school. Can't forget about that! :) Overall, it has been a really good visit so far! I am really enjoying the "warm" weather here. However, whenever I say: "grandma, it is so warm outside," she thinks I am nuts. Hee hee :D! Well the sun is shining and the day is getting of to an amazing start! What else was I going to say.... It seemed like something really important! Oh yeah! Today is my little brother, Jack's, birthday! Seven years ago he was born! Well I should be off! I have a beautiful day ahead of me and can not wait to get out there and enjoy it! Hope all of you have a blessed day! :D
